Like many of us, we seek for financial security and ultimately financial freedom. This blog is intended to act as a journal of investment as I journey towards that dream. At the same time, I hope that the articles written here would also benefit many others who share the same vision as me.

I bought my first insurance when I started working about 9 years ago. At that point of time, the concern was not much about the coverage as the company I work for offered fantastic medical benefits that would ensure my healthcare will be taken care off till I retire. Hence I went for the cheapest package available.

As time goes by (took me 9 years), I realized that I can never be dependent on the healthcare perks offered by the company.

lotsofmoney

I paid RM 7,000.00 for a life and medical insurance just to please one of my relative who sells insurance. The manager came with birthday cakes and lots of candes.

After one week, another letter came asking for RM 3000.00 more because of age. As far as I am concerned, if an insurance company cannot work out the proper amount in the first place when all the information are available are just cons.

I cancel the policy on the spot.

I understand Insurance is a BUSINESS and it need to make money and the manager and all agents will need their commissions. Just be honest and do not think that everybody will fall for their traps of asking for more money because otherwise you will lose your initial lump sum deposit.

I think this is disgusting.
