By popular demand, I’m posting here the PDFs of an article I wrote years ago: “The Best Investor You’ve Never Heard Of,” about Joe Rosenfield, the uncommonly courageous thinker who was for many years the chairman of the investment committee of Grinnell College — and a hero to many other great investors, including his friend and admirer Warren Buffett. He died in 2000, shortly after this article was published.

Warren Buffett told me later that Joe Rosenfield “was one of a kind — as fine a human being as I’ve ever known.”

I’m glad I got to know him and to share his remarkable story.

These color PDFs are large files, more than 5 mb apiece.  The article is in two parts.
