NEW YORK, Sept. 16 -- Oil prices advanced on Monday.
The West Texas Intermediate for October delivery increased 1.44 U.S. dollars, or 2.1 percent, to settle at 70.09 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery added 1.14 dollars, or 1.59 percent, to settle at 72.75 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
