I intend to be fully invested prior to D day 9 May ....what about you?
whoever wins, I don't see any problem after D Day.
If BN wins...well, at least the election is over
If Pakatan wins, its the dawn of a new age, new hopes.
People are nervous, market looks nervous, don't know what will happen if Pakatan wins, scared of the unknowns, will there be chaos? martial laws? Emergency rules? riots? chaos? will there be transfer of power? never happened before in Malaysia. too much at stake for the incumbants.
I see it differentlly. I see crisis as opportunity. I see this election as UMNO old guards vs 1 MDB architect and his cronies.
I see Mahathir, Anwar and Muhyiddin as grass roots Malay as well as National leaders with vast experience and international prestige.
I see a swift and peaceful transfer of powers if they win in the polls.
Recent days a bit of jittery in tthe market. A closer look shows foreigners as net buyers, not net selllers. No sign of jittery among foreign investors...why should locals be scared?

@chuatuanboo If P.Harapan wins,esp. with a strong majority, that would be the strongest boost for BURSA.
Cost of business is reduced significantly with TOLL ABOLISHED,NO GST n NO CRONY Contracts, a govt budget that is spent on rakyat welfare, think abt it, lets vote for a brighter future for all !
chuatuanboo foreign fund foresee BN will retain the power, that's why they buy. If the outcome is opposite, most likely the market will crash the next day.

I think we should buy small/mid cap stocks which being beaten down lately, but also keep some cash to buy more if PH wins the election and Bursa comes down temporarily.
In this way, we benefit if BN wins, and we also have some spare cash to accumulate stocks at even cheaper price if PH wins.

people always planned to buy with the remaining 50% cash but end up selling the shares in hand when market going down to avoid loss, they called it CUT LOSS, haha

qqq3, you are assuming foreign fund are 100% foreign fund with your quote below is not true. Foreign fund can be 50% local and 50% foreign with a local management. So with relative small net buy or sell. The conclusion on the foreign fund direction can be misleading.

Buy smallcaps? Even beatan down, must oso c the result in may. Mayb beaten down oso not cheap if post poor result. Dun over hype. Even bn win not necesarily big jump in stock market. most of the time, sustainable rallies have to be led by the blue chips.....but this time, blue chips PE 3X that of small caps.....
this is a new phenomenon.
on a sector basis....the job of finding some thing with great conviction is also tough, even if I wanted to invest.
the OG sector seems like the only sector with oomph enough to make some real money....assuming I am right and better sentiments come back.

tomorrow is the last day to implement the above strategy.
for me, I have spend some 75% of my bullets, and tomorrow come what may I will spend the balance of my bullets. The 75% bullets are now, under water....but no regrets.
I want to urge, those who have shares in the market to see this thing through.
Look at the people who succeeds.
You cannot find success if you keep changing your mind.
There will be stress. There will be temptations to abandon your position/ your strategy.
but fickleminded people........where got success given to them?

I am certainly ok....sold my sailing stock Sapura and Sapura w near the highs.....don’t have any political stocks......what remains in my portfolio did not drop.

Coming into 509, my opinion is inadvertable PH will win and market will go up.....
In reality PH wins and market down but I still make money....I guess my stock selections protect ed me.
