Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (9988)

Alibaba Cloud, a cloud computing subsidiary of Alibaba Group, announced on Monday its partnership with Dubai Holding to upgrade its Dubai-based data centre for a broader range of services in analytics, databases, industry solutions and artificial intelligence services.

The facility will include a revamp of its advanced database to provide faster, more efficient data processing, as well as industryspecific solutions and AI-powered services that will address challenges.

CNOOC Ltd (883)

CNOOC Limited announced today that it has discovered Bozhong 26-6 oilfield in Bohai Sea, which brings another hundred million tons of reserves. Bozhong 26-6 oilfield is located in the south of Bohai Sea, with an average water depth of 22 meters.

The main oil-bearing play is Archean buried hill and the oil property is light crude. The discovery well BZ26-6-2 was drilled and completed at a depth of 4,480 meters, which encountered a total of 321.3 meters oil pay zones. The well was tested to produce an average of approximately 2,040 barrels of crude oil and 11.45m cubic feet of natural gas per day.

CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Ltd (1093)

Paclitaxel albumin bound is under clinical development by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group and currently in Phase I for Gastric Cancer.

According to GlobalData, Phase I drugs for Gastric Cancer have a 79% phase transition success rate (PTSR) indication benchmark for progressing into Phase II.

GlobalData’s report assesses how Paclitaxel albumin bound’s drug-specific PTSR and Likelihood of Approval (LoA) scores compare to the indication benchmarks.

New World Development (17)

New World Development Company Limited (NWD) and Huawei International Co. Limited (Huawei) announced the signing of an MoU. The cooperation combines Huawei's technologies in artificial intelligence, cloud service and big data with NWD's real estate industry expertise in both Mainland China and Hong Kong to facilitate the sustainable development of the real estate industry.

The strategic partnership also aims to facilitate the digital transformation of the industry and promote the development of PropTech (property technology) by leveraging solutions such as energy-efficient buildings and low-carbon construction, across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

Huawei will explore ways to utilize and apply its technologies and infrastructures in 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud service, virtual reality etc. in the real estate industry and build a one-stop smart platform for NWD covering service, management and operation.

Sun Hung Kai Properties (16)

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) sold hundreds of new apartments in a day, the latest sign that the housing market is recovering from last year’s slump. The company offloaded all of the 352 homes for sale in its Novo Land project on Saturday for more than HK$2bn (US$254.8m). The developer plans to focus on marketing projects in the Pak Shek Kok and Tin Shui Wai areas after finishing the sale phase of Novo Land.

In a separate news, SHKP won the tender for an 11,537-square metre site in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district, paying a third less than the low end of the parcel’s valuation to seal the city’s first successful commercial land sale this year.

Hong Kong’s biggest developer by market value submitted a HK$4.729bn (US$602.5m) bid for the parcel via its unit East Classic Development, according to an announcement by the Lands Department.
