Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (9988.HK)

Alibaba's Taobao has established a live commerce company as part of the shopping platform's attempt to reduce its reliance on "super hosts" such as Austin Li Jiaqi while also fending off threats from rival online retailers.Operated by Taobao Live, the new company will mainly serve hosts who are new to Taobao, providing them with a "one-stop service" that includes business connections as well as marketing, inventory and financial management services. Hosts can form their own teams after a six-month "nurturing" period.

CNOOC Ltd (883.HK)

CNOOC has discovered an additional 40m cubic meters of proven oil and gas reserves at its Bozhong 26-6 field, according to a statement released by the company on Sunday. The newly discovered reserves increase the cumulative proven geological reserves at the field to 200m cubic metres, the company said.Located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, if this figure is correct, it could make the oilfield the biggest metamorphic rock oilfield worldwide. The Bozhong 26-6 oilfield is about 106 miles (170 kilometers) from north China’s Tianjin Municipality, with an average water depth of over 72 feet (22 meters).

China Telecom Corp Ltd-H (728.HK)

Smart city solutions provider Tadoom announced on Sunday it has struck a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom to deploy an AI-powered, cloud-based CCTV open management platform in Oman. "Tadoom Vision," described as an “operator-level visual network product”, was co-developed by Tadoom and China Telecom, based on China Telecom’s "More Vision" CCTV platform. The platform will be integrated into Oman's national cloud infrastructure. Tadoom Vision promises to enhance home security with 24-hour uninterrupted cloud storage, intelligent recognition for unauthorized intrusion, and one-click alarms for enhanced safety. Tadoom said the CCTV solution is “powered by intelligent AI, offers ultra-clear image quality, cloud storage, flexible multi-terminal support, intelligent analysis, recognition capabilities, and a simple, open, stable, and secure system.”

JD.com Inc-Class A (9618.HK)

JD.com recently announced the launch of its latest initiative: the “Free At-Home Return” service for products sold directly by JD.com. This new offering, unveiled on February 22nd, offers customers the convenience of effortless returns and exchanges for items marked with the “Free At-Home Return” tag, regardless of their size, weight, or quantity.

The service is designed to remove the financial burden of return shipping fees, offering a straightforward and cost-effective option for customers to manage their purchases. This development is a testament to JD.com’s dedication to enhancing the shopping experience and customer satisfaction.

Xiaomi Corp-Class B (1810.HK)

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship photography-focused smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as it seeks to take on Apple's iPhone and Huawei Technologies in the competitive high-end segment. With prices starting from CN¥6,499 (US$903). This compares with a starting retail price of CN¥5,999 (US$833) for an iPhone 15, and CN¥7,999 (US$1,110) for an iPhone 15 Pro.

Xiaomi has been promoting its camera and photography features as selling points following a partnership with Leica in 2022, after the German camera maker ended its seven-year deal with Huawei. The new handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is equipped with Xiaomi's proprietary HyperOS operating system.
