KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will apply legal penalties available to Low Taek Jho and Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil Nik Othman Arif Kamil if they do not answer the agency’s summons for questioning.

The MACC yesterday issued a notice for Low, also known as Jho Low, and the SRC International director to present themselves for questioning over a RM42 million deposit into former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s account.

“Jho Low and Nik Faisal will face legal action if they fail to attend investigations into SRC International,” said MACC deputy chief commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Azam Baki.
