I will not be in the new Cabinet, says Zahid

BAGAN DATUK: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced that he will not be in the new Cabinet.
"The new government must be clean and chances must be given to those (facing charges) to clear their name through legal court procedure.
"As the president of Barisan Nasional and Umno, I will not offer myself to be in the new Cabinet," he said on Saturday (March 7) at the Bagan Datuk Umno building.
The Umno president said he had discussed the matter with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
It was reported earlier that Zahid had denied that the party is aiming for the post of deputy prime minister.

aiya..he knows that has been rejected. This is just an usual trick used many times already... just declare now so that not being embarrassed later. if not later surprise not appointed and confirmed being the "unclean" one, malu lah!

this thing not over yet, there are more problems ahead. I just fear it might end with dissolution of Parliament. Election now is not a good time for PH, the only way PH can gain from this is the new govt perform worst than PH, then election will be in favour of PH, that is why it takes time. There will be a game changer, is the lowering of the age of voting, this group will be the one deciding what the outcome of the next election will be, but which parties will gain the support of this group remain to be seen.
