KUALA LUMPUR: The Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme (NIP) recorded the highest daily vaccination rate yesterday with a total 376,909 doses administered nationwide.
The daily vaccination rate has hit above 300,000 doses for three consecutive days, starting from 313,761 on Monday, followed by 340,043 (Tuesday) and 375,842 doses (Wednesday).
The increase in the daily capacity also allowed Malaysia to administer almost 1.4 million vaccine doses in just four days.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said with this increase, Malaysia has distributed 10,413,270 vaccine doses since the NIP commenced on Feb 24.
Of the total, he said, 13.6 per cent of the 23.4 million of adult population in the country has completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, while 7,222,481 milion people (30.9 per cent) have received their first dose, as of yesterday.
"In the last 24 hours, some 376,909 doses were administered - the highest so far, while a total 3,190,789 people have already received their second dose," he said, via a tweet, today.
Based on data from the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), Putrajaya recorded the highest number of people who have completed two vaccine doses (31,580 individuals or 28.7 per cent).
This was followed by Labuan (22,444 individuals or 22.5 per cent), Perlis (50,236 individuals or 19.7 per cent), Kuala Lumpur (306,469 individuals or 17.3 per cent), Sarawak (443,987 individuals or 15.8 per cent), Negri Sembilan (124,506 individuals or 11 per cent) and Perak (250,922 individuals or 10 per cent).
Meanwhile, Kelantan has administered two vaccine doses to 181,103 people (9.5 per cent; Pahang (162,693 individuals or 9.7 per cent); Terengganu (111,661 individuals or 8.9 per cent); Kedah (209,999 individuals or 9.6 per cent); Melaka (85,751 individuals or 9.2 per cent); Johor (326,207 individuals or 8.6 per cent); Penang (161,469 individuals or 9.1 per cent); Sabah (275,179 individuals or 7.0 per cent) and Selangor (446,583 individuals or 6.8 per cent).

So far only Khairy has done a good job! Initially the vaccination rate was too slow! But at less he listen! You can't please everybody! Compare that to Australia where PM Scott made huge blunder in ordering vaccine!
