DR Najihatussalehah Ahmad recently told certain parties to stop pointing fingers at the Government and claiming that the Government has failed when they are the ones who have failed to help the Government.

The Dewan Muslimat PAS Malaysia (DMPM) information chief was disputing allegations that the Government has failed, adding that the Government administration was still running as usual despite the existing national lockdown measures and the fact that a part of the Klang Valley has been put under enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

Despite having to work from home, she said, all civil servants are able to perform their duties accordingly.

“Circumstances notwithstanding, the country’s education and economic systems are still functional.  The country’s healthcare system, too, remains intact despite certain parties trying to spread news about the COVID-19 situation in the Klang Valley,” she said.

Her statement has drawn flak from netizens, who outright criticised her statement.

“The world is a spinning wheel [and] whatever happens is God’s will. Previously PAS has a habit of pointing fingers and criticising the Government’s faults but that’s what the Opposition does.

“Now God is giving PAS the opportunity to become the Government…so prove to the people that PAS can look out for the rakyat. [They should be] open to criticism and must remain calm…stop acting like they are still the Opposition,” wrote Ainn Domm.

Netizen Fairuz Jaffar sarcastically said, “OK, OK. Everything is the rakyat’s fault. The Government can do no wrong. They have proven successful. We have been in a state of Emergency for months and the Government has succeeded in increasing the number of daily COVID-19 cases from below a thousand to 11k. Well done!”

Meanwhile, netizen Spencer Klumai wanted to know who we are supposed to blame if not the Government. “Are we supposed to blame COVID?” he wondered.

User Mohammad Amin demanded to know if it is wrong for the rakyat to blame them (the Government).

“When you take your place as the country’s leaders, you are not only answerable to the world; we need to be answerable to Allah as well,” he wrote. – July 15, 2021.

Good morning,
“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,”
I challenged every Malaysian to contribute in some way to the public good except the politicians because they are the problems.

Good morning to you.

I echo your sentiment, however we must always keep the gomen on full blast to keep them accountable (questionable).

And it takes two hands to clap. We should not shirk our own responsibilities.
