KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation paper into a gang robbery in 2021 involving three Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers has been referred to the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) for further action.
Minister in Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said the investigation was being carried out under Section 396 of the Penal Code.
"The IP on three MACC officers has been referred to the A-GC and is currently being studied," she said.
Azalina said this in a parliamentary reply to Kepong member of parliament Lim Lip Eng.
In 2021, police had detained three suspects believed to be senior MACC officers to facilitate investigations into a gang robbery at a house in Jalan Ampang.
The robbery involved a loss of almost RM1 million.
