KAJANG: It is up to the police to reveal the identity of "Mr H", says lawyer Faizal Rahman.

Faizal - who is acting for Community Communications Department (J-Kom) assistant officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani - said that it is more appropriate for the police to be the ones to reveal his identity.

He said this when accompanying Abdul Wahab to lodge a police report at the Kajang police headquarters on Thursday (Nov 30).

"We came to the police station at 11am to lodge a report on the matter and we gave our full cooperation with the police throughout the process of having his statement recorded," said Faizal.

"The line of questioning today was more along the lines of what transpired before and after Abdul Wahab joined J-Kom," he added.

Faizal added that he was pleased to know that the investigation paper would be referred to the Attorney General's Chambers on Friday.

He said his client had previously mentioned several names of people believed to be involved in this case but after studying the facts we believe that Mr H is the mastermind behind this crisis.

Meanwhile, Abdul Wahab says he is stressed and traumatised by the spread of a video of an alleged obscene conversation involving him.

Speaking to the press after lodging the report, Abdul Wahab said he only wanted to clear his name and demand justice.

"All I can say is that I am stressed out and traumatised, I just want to clear my name. I want justice," he said.

When asked, he said he was not sure about the status of his position at the Department.

On Wednesday Abdul Wahab verified the identity of Mr H with police investigators at Bukit Aman.

Police were supposed to have recorded Abdul Wahab’s statement on Sunday but the appointment was cancelled as he was said to be suffering from severe depression.

The questioning is in connection with a viral video depicting former J-Kom director Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff supposedly having an indecent conversation with a “Wahab”.

Mohammad Agus has since claimed that the video was doctored to sabotage his reputation, and that the person responsible was a high-ranking individual he called “Mr H”.
