PUTRAJAYA: The unity government secretariat's top leadership is expected to convene this afternoon to discuss the allocation of funds to opposition Members of Parliament (MP).

It is understood that the meeting will take place at 5.30 pm today at the Seri Perdana Complex here.

All top leaders of the parties forming the unity government are expected to attend the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof had previously said the secretariat would meet to discuss the allocation issue for opposition MPs.

He said this following a meeting with Perikatan Nasional leaders including opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, and Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee on March 19.
