BANGI: Malaysia has reiterated its stance condemning terror activities in affirming its commitment to efforts in fighting terrorist financing.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the government acknowledged concerns raised by the United States (US) about possible money laundering activities involving groups linked to Malaysia.
"This morning, the Home Ministry's team and I met Brian Nelson (US Treasury Department's undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence) and his delegates on terror financing.
"They have asked for our commitment to efforts to fight terrorist financing.
"We mentioned (our stance) on the aspect of the regional commitment at the Asean or global level, or policy at the ministry level," he told reporters after attending the National Anti-Drug Agency Excellence Awards Ceremony today.
