PETALING JAYA: Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong took time off to meet with Star Media Group's (SMG) top management here on Tuesday (June 16).

Greeting him at Menara Star were SMG chief executive officer Chan Seng Fatt, chief content officer Datin Paduka Esther Ng, and chief business officer Lydia Wang, among others.

The deputy minister paid a courtesy visit to Chan at his office.

He also visited the group's Chinese-language radio station 988 and was interviewed in its studio, led by 988 general manager Woo Bee Ay.

He also granted an interview to The Star and Malay-language weekly Majoriti 7.

During the interview, Liew shared about his latest book, "Second Takeoff: Strategies for Malaysia's Economic Resurgence", a collection of essays on economics, society and governance.

The book highlights policy suggestions to push Malaysia's development to become a high-income nation.

Ng also briefed Liew on the team's daily workflow for its print and digital platforms, as well as its plans.
