PETALING JAYA: Political figures from both sides of the divide took the opportunity to convey their best wishes to the newly-installed 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong extended his heartfelt congratulations, expressing hope for Malaysia’s continued growth under His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia’s reign.

“Daulat Tuanku,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in a Facebook post yesterday.

MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran also sent his best wishes to the King, writing on social media, “Congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia. May God bless His Majesty’s reign”.

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob echoed similar sentiments in his Instagram post, praying for blessings throughout the reign of His Majesty.

“Congratulations, His Majesty, on his installation as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” he wrote.

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin extended his congratulations to the King via Instagram, saying, “May Allah bless His Majesty’s reign.”

PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang also conveyed his best wishes and prayers for blessings for Sultan Ibrahim’s reign, while PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man extended his congratulations to the Johor ruler as well.

Selangor Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali shared a post on Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, expressing warm wishes to the King for a blessed reign.
