PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to attend the Himpunan Perdana Rakyat to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sabah PKR this Sunday.

Sabah PKR chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said the gathering will take place at the Sabah International Convention Center (SICC) from 8am to 2pm.

He said all party leaders in the unity government are invited.

"There are various activities planned for the event, including performances by local artistes, a Madani forum and speeches.

"The highlight of the gathering will be a keynote address by the prime minister," he said at a press conference here today.

Mustapha, who is also deputy higher education minister, said about 10,000 people were expected at the gathering.

He said besides celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sabah PKR, the gathering aims to express the people's support for the prime minister.
