Chow opts out of Penang DAP state election

GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow has decided to stay out of the state party election later this month.

At a specially convened press conference, Chow who is also Penang Chief Minister said that he had received a letter from the party headquarters dated Aug 27, notifying him of his nomination to contest in the upcoming party elections.

"However, after much consideration, I have decided not to accept the nomination to contest," he said.
