PETALING JAYA: Repair works are underway along KM18.6 of the New Klang Valley Expressway where a sinkhole emerged.
Plus Malaysia Bhd, on its official Facebook, said the affected lanes would be reopened once rectification work was completed and experts ensure that the location was safe for road users.
It advised motorists to exercise caution and adhere to road signs.
It was reported yesterday that the sinkhole emerged following heavy downpours in the morning.
The sinkhole appeared at the Km18.6 southbound stretch between the Kota Damansara and Damansara exits.
The left and emergency lanes have been closed off to ensure the safety of motorists.
The sudden lane closure led to heavy traffic for several kilometres along the highway, leading from the Sungai Buloh rest area towards the south.
