There is this William O Neil maxim which I have been following these few months , and rather successfully.
It says:
What seems high will go higher, what seems low will go lower.
I think the last few months have been the best of times to practise this above maxim.
First, about applications.
What seems high will go higher, the key word is "seems".....
seems to be this and that means appears at first sight to be this and that. On closer examination, there is a reality behind the appearance. Your job is to dig out reality from the appearance, be brave , decisive , have an opinion and go with your findings.. Do not be stopped by appearances or what seems so.
The above maxim has guided me to successfully chase new high shares and avoided value traps so favored by value investors. It has make me a lot of money and saved me from a lot of dead ducks and time wasters.
Now, the follow up
But, as with all investment advices, dictims and maxims, there are times best suited to it, and times less suited to it. The time has come to modify the investment strategy. I write this post with great reluctance as I do not want to be seem as nervous , or bearish, or wishy washy and mainly also because I could be wrong. I write this post because since I started the first chapter, I should write the next chapter. ..
Realising all investment advices, all investment strategies has a best time to do it, and a less suitable time to do it....It is my opinion we need a less daring approach now.
In recent days, we have seen some speculative leaders such as Iwcity, Dnex loosing grip.......this suggest more and more leaders will begin losing their grip in coming days. I just want to caution you.......and that includes leaders in tech sector too which have run up far beyond any possible justification. If you say sell some of your leaders and winning stocks, I think nobody can fault you.
what to do with the cash if you decide to sell some shares? I wrote here several times since late last year, that for the first time, for 2017 I will remain fully invested . That for me to buy any shares, I will have to sell some shares first because the fund is already fully invested. This strategy has worked very well for me these few months because it keeps me pruning the portfolio, always keep it fresh and ready to go, deploying money which yields immediate returns instead of wasting time. I have used this strategy to sell shares which I think will not move and putting the money into shares which will immediately move.
As of now, I do not intend to go into cash. That time has not come yet. I still intend to remain fully invested in 2017 . What I intend to do is a modification. This time, I will not sell ny share until I have found a replacement. And my replacement will not need to be a new high share moving very fast. My replacement will be a bit more conservative, I will give it more time to leisurely perform changing from a 100 meter dash into a middle distance race.
The maxim...what seems lows will go lower ...seems to still apply. Look at BJToto, another new low today. Plenty of oil and gas stocks still following this dictum. I will be guided by this maxim that .....what seems lows will go lower, still applies but I will look at shares in consolidations ....shares in consolidation mode looks like a suitable ground for hunting for me as I enter the middle distance races.
My new strategy.....I will still remain 100% invested but with a slight twist. I will replace some of the fast runners into middle distance runners.

wei...stockmanmy is an addictive drug which we can easily get us hooked into a loop of stupid useless conversation....i request all the great sifus like KC, Icon, OTB etc...though it may be entertaining and rewarding in a different sense....to kindly ignore this Hyena (scavenger) for a few months at least so that.....its hormones level can come down...and i3 will be useful and easier to extract useful informations.

On 30 April, somebody posted some wrong analysis on AeonCr in AeonCr forum .....I patiently pointed out where they gone wrong. , and why AeonCr is exceptionally good.
That is the way it is.....if people do some homework, there can be more meaningful discussions.

it is good you point out other people's mistakes. But please be consistent. For example : If high gearing is bad, applies it across the board to all stocks. Don't selectively apply it on other people's stock while sparing your own (or your Master's stocks).
Don't practise double standards. Be truthful and honest. Otherwise, it is clear that your comments are politically motivated and your objective is to attack and sabotage.

whether Air Asia seems high or not I really don't know...but lots of value investors says it is not high.
in that sense Air Asia does not fulfill my X factor investment.
