U.S. equities trended positively on the back of a better-than-expected core personal consumption expenditure index for July, which grew 0.1% M.o.M to 1.6%. Financials, basic materials and telco sectors were focused. 

FBM KLCI: 1,681.60 pts (-1.49pts, -0.09%)
The FBM KLCI continues to trend sideways around the 1,680 level. However, tracking the positive performance on the overnight Dow, the key index may rebound towards the 1,700 level.

Crude Palm Oil: RM2,517 (-RM35, -1.37%)
Crude palm oil were lower as traders extended their profit taking activities and the CPO price may revisit the support of RM2,500.

WTI Crude Oil: $46.98 (-$0.66, -1.39%)
Crude oil prices trended lower on the back of higher US dollar amid the speculation that the Fed may increase the interest rates in the upcoming FOMC meeting. Next support will be set around US$46.

Gold: $1,323.38 (+$2.20, +0.17%)
Gold traded to a one-month low near the US$1,315 level before closing higher at US$1,328. Gold may rebound slightly higher towards US$1,350.
