Following the bargain hunting activities, selling interest resumed on the U.S. stockmarkets amid weaker crude oil prices and stronger USD. The Dow retreated near the resistance of 18,260.

With the negative sentiments from the overseas market, the FBM KLCI may extend its pullback phase below the 1,680 level.

Crude Palm Oil: RM2,592 (-RM48, -1.82%)
Palm oil inventories fell to the lowest since 2011 on the back of higher demand from India and China, stockpiles fell 17 percent to 1.46 mln metric tons at end of August from a month earlier. 

WTI Crude Oil: $44.90 (-$1.39, -3.02%)
Crude oil continues to stay below the US$46 per barrel mark after API reported an increase in crude inventories by 1.44 mln bbl last week.

Gold: $1,319.05 (-$8.77, -0.66%)
Gold prices continue to stay on a weaker tone amid a stronger US dollar. Next support will be set around US$1,300.
