U.S. stockmarkets closed mixed on last Friday as the Dow fell 0.03% on weaker-than-expected retail sales data, while the S&P 500 added 0.2%, lifted by strong corporate earnings from banking stocks.

FBM KLCI: 1,672.50 pts (-5.26pts, -0.31%)
Profit taking activities in selective banking heavyweights sent the FBM KLCI 0.3% lower on last Friday. The next resistance level is located around the 1,700 level.

Crude Palm Oil: RM3,083 (+RM9, +0.29%)
Crude palm oil prices closed marginally higher, taking cue from the gains in soybean oil prices. The RM3,200 level will serve as the immediate resistance level.

WTI Crude Oil: $52.37 (-$0.64, -1.21%)
Crude oil prices retreated on skeptism of OPEC production cut deal from other countries apart from Saudi Arabia. Crude oil prices might trend towards the US$55-US$60 levels.

Gold: $1,197.34 (+$1.91, +0.16%)
Gold prices recorded its fifth consecutive winning streak to close 2.1% higher W.o.W. The US1,200 will serve as the immediate resistance level.
