Tracking the weakness in renewed weakness in Wall Street last Friday, the FBM KLCI nosedived at the opening bell before recouping some of its intraday losses to close at 1,853.07 pts on Monday. Market breadth remains negative, as losers thumped winners on a ratio of 966-to-167 stocks. Nevertheless, consumer products stocks like Fraser & Neave (+62.0 sen), Dutch Lady (+54.0 sen) and Heineken (+48.0 sen) outperformed the insipid market.
