Disappointing corporate earnings and the weak sentiment in the overseas market kept the FBM KLCI in the red, albeit slightly cushioned by gains in Genting Malaysia after the latter resolved its dispute with Fox Entertainment over its upcoming Fox-branded theme park. Market breadth was still negative with 513 losers against 367 winners. Meanwhile, notable banks like Public Bank (-26.0 sen), Hong Leong Bank (-14.0 sen) and Hong Leong Financial Group (-14.0 sen) closed lower on Friday.
