The FBM KLCI (+1.3%) re-claimed the 1,500 psychological level taking cue from gains on Wall Street overnight following the US Federal Reserve reamrks on their bond buying measures on corporate bonds. Market breadth turned positive as gainers hammered the losers on a ratio of 947-to-175 stocks. All 13 major sectors finished higher led by the energy sector (+5.6%) after Brent oil prices rose above the US$40 per barrel mark.
