M+ Online Market Wrap - 24Sep21

FBM KLCI: 1,532.06 pts (-7.28pts, -0.47%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.5%) finished the week in red as persistent uncertainties on regional markets amid Evergrande debt worries weighed on market sentiment; the key index was mainly dragged by selldown in TENAGA and selected banking heavyweights. Market breadth turned negative as the losers outnumbered the gainers by 561-to-425 stocks. The utilities sector (-1.1%) underperformed the mixed broader market, extending its recent downward trend, mainly due to losses in TENAGA (-13.0 sen), followed by YTL (-0.5 sen), and RANHILL (-4.0 sen).
