The FBM KLCI (-0.9%) extended yesterday’s decline as the key index mirrored the losses in Wall Street overnight amid persistent inflation fears, as well as the weaknesses across regional markets. Market breadth remained negative as the losers hammered the gainers by 757-to-269 stocks. On the negative broader market, the plantation sector (+0.3%) was the standout gainer, powered by gains in SIMEPLT (+6.0 sen), FGV (+3.0 sen), and GENP (+10.0 sen) amid rallied CPO price.
