The FBM KLCI (+0.03%) recouped all of the intraday losses to close flat as buying interest in selected telecommunication counters emerged in the final trading hour. Market breadth, however remained negative as the losers outpaced the gainers by 582-to-441 stocks. The energy sector (-1.3%) underperformed the broader market, dragged by DIALOG (-4.0 sen), ARMADA (-2.0 sen), and VELESTO (-0.5 sen). On the other hand, the technology sector (+1.0%) was the biggest advancer, tracking the overnight gains in Nasdaq.
