FBM KLCI: 1,591.72 pts (+17.83pts, +1.13%)

The FBM KLCI gained 1.1% to end the volatile week on a positive note in line with the positive move across regional markets, taking cue from the gains on Wall Street overnight as investors brushed off the ongoing geopolitical tension. Market breadth turned positive as the gainers trounced the losers by 700-to-318 stocks. A strong rebound in Nasdaq overnight lifted the technology sector (+2.31%); top gainers include MYEG (+4.0 sen), GREATEC (+22.0 sen), and FRONTKN (+15.0 sen). Meanwhile the energy sector (-2.06%) was the sole declining sector on the positive broader market.
