FBM KLCI: 1,604.72 pts (+7.93pts, +0.50%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.50%) recouped losses in the previous sessions and rose above the key 1,600 level as bargain hunting activities were noticed in most heavyweights, led by MISC (+29.0 sen), SIMEPLT (+14.0 sen), and PCHEM (+14.0 sen). Market breadth remained positive as the advancers trounced the decliners by 601-to-435 stocks. The plantation sector (+1.77%) led the broader market for the session as SIMEPLT (+14.0 sen), KLK (+72.0 sen), and GENP (+14.0 sen) gained momentum as FCPO traded around RM6,000 level.
