The FBM KLCI (+0.34%) rose following the rebound on Wall Street amid calmer sentiment on the banking turmoil, spurred by gains in CDB (+11.0 sen) and selected banking heavyweights. Market breadth turned positive as the advancers outpaced the decliners by 483-to-368 stocks. The health care sector (+2.95%) outperformed the broader market as HARTA (+17.0 sen), TOPGLOV (+5.5 sen), and IHH (+4.0 sen) gained momentum. Meanwhile, the energy sector (+1.28%) staged a rebound amid a rebound in crude oil price.
