The FBM KLCI (-0.09%) inched lower after the FBMKLCI rebalancing activities last Friday, coupled with the sluggish regional sentiment as well as cautious sentiment ahead of the semi-annual testimony by the US Fed Chair to the lawmakers. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners led the advancers by 452-to-372 stocks. The health care sector (-1.70%) extended its downtrend move, weighed by selldown in TOPGLOV (-6.0 sen), IHH (-4.0 sen), KPJ (-4.0 sen), while the plantation sector (+1.60%) outperformed the broader market as KLK (+128.0 sen), SIMEPLT (+5.0 sen), and BPLANT (+12.0 sen) led gains following a jump in CPO prices.
