Gas demand in Malaysia will continue to grow this year, driven by higher usage for electricity generation, petrochemical production and transportation, says Malaysian Gas Association. "Electricity requirement growth is always higher than the GDP. This subsequently means demand for gas will grow in tandem with electricity demand," he said. (Business Times)
