Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd is optimistic that it will do well this year due to robust demand for petrochemical products, recovering global economy and its competitive feedstock cost. Petronas Chemicals president and CEO Dr Abd Hapiz Abdullah said although the global economy is expected to slow down in 2012 and business to be more challenging, it is hoped that European governments would be able to come out from the region's crisis sooner rather than later.
