Upon graduating in early 90's with a Diploma in Business Administration, Ms Cheah Ping Huey ("Agnes") began her career as a Banquet Sales Secretary in Istana Hotel. While studying the Hotel Management Diploma course, she accumulated her experience in sales as a Sales Executive and worked her way up the corporate ladder. She was awarded the Youngest Director of Sales, Corporate Division by Nikko Hotel in 2000 and Most Outstanding Sales Achievement in 2001. Her other accomplishments include spearheading the hotels pre-opening sales & marketing team of Guoman Hotels Group in Port Dickson and Hanoi. 

In 2002, Agnes joined a Japanese-owned travel agency, Intersect Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd, and held the position of General Manager prior to joining Orient Escape Travel Sdn Bhd ("Orient Escape"), a subsidiary of Advance Synergy Berhad, in 2004 as the General Manager and was promoted to her current position as the Executive Director of Orient Escape on 12 April 2007. Agnes was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Tours Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Orient Escape, on 1 January 2016.
