Working Experience
Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian joined Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad ("KLK") in 1974 as an executive and was subsequently appointed to the Board of KLK on 1 February 1985. In 1993, he was appointed as the Group's Chairman/Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") and held the position until 2008, when he relinquished his role as Chairman, but remained as Executive Director and CEO of the Group.

Dato' Seri Lee is also Chairman of Batu Kawan Berhad and a director of Yule Catto & Co. plc. In addition to being the current Chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council, he also serves as a trustee of Yayasan Tuanku Bainun, Perdana Leadership Foundation, Star Foundation, Tan Seri Lee Loy Seng Foundation and Yayasan KLK, and also as a board member of Royal Perak Golf Club Berhad.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian is the brother of Dato' Lee Hau Hian, a Director and major shareholder of KLK, and the father of Mr. Lee Jia Zhang, the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director of KLK. He is deemed connected with Batu Kawan Berhad, one of the major shareholders of KLK.
