Mr Tan Kong Khoon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bishop’s University, Canada and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School Advance Management Program.

Mr Tan Kong Khoon was the Group Executive, Consumer Banking Group of the Development Bank of Singapore ("DBS") from 1 December 2010 to 15 April 2013 where he led and managed strategy fomulation and execution for consumer banking globally across the DBS Group. Mr Tan Kong Khoon began his banking career with DBS in 1981. Since then, he has successfully built consumer banking franchises across multiple markets in Asia for Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank and ANZ Bank. From March 2007 to December 2009, Mr Tan Kong Khoon was President and CEO of Bank of Ayudhya, the fifth largest bank in Thailand listed on the Thailand Stock Exchange. Under his leadership, Bank of Ayudhya had expanded rapidly in its business and turnover.
