Datuk Kang Hua Keong ("Datuk Michael") brings over two decades of experience in leadership roles, with a strong focus on advocating for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Since 2022, he has served as an Independent Director at BGMC International Limited. In addition to this role, Datuk Michael is the Managing Director and CEO of SMB Connection Sdn Bhd, and also a Director at SMB Solutions Management Sdn Bhd, a company recognized with MSC status.
Datuk Michael's involvement in policy-making and development for SMEs is notable. He has held the position of National President of the SME Association of Malaysia and has been a council member of various government and industry task forces. These include the National Recovery Council, the National Employment Council, and the Digital Economy Task Force.
His contributions have also been recognized in advisory capacities, including being an honorary advisor for the International Wellness Expo and the Malaysia Fruit Farmers Association.
