Bursa may close the gap between 9.23 and 9.18, at worst it may backtest the previous resistance @ 9.10. If it tested these supports and rebound afterward, it will open up larger room for upsides. Stop loss / take profit if it breaks below 9.01.

EPF is disposing heavily for i-sinar I assumed. Those funds that took tickets from EPF wouldn't let it go down too much that will might break its uptrend. Still, probably not ideal to enter now.

Bursa breakout RM9 and the sideways consolidation resistance @ 9.07 to 9.12 with around 4 times the average volume, very bullish move. Breakout of this type typically isn't going to be a one day show. Congratz!!

It depends on their take on opportunity cost, if they are willing to hold it for a longer time and getting quite decent dividends every now and then (while missing out on other opportunities), then it is completely fine.

If their position on bursa is substantial, then they can consider selling a portion of it at resistance levels and look for other stocks (or top-up bursa when it drops below certain levels). There are tons of golden opportunities out there during volatile times like this.

Of course follow the announcement on bursamalaysia.com, not too hopeful on post-announcement stock performance though, likely to fall back down like last time, unless bursa has some outstanding catalysts...

Yeah kinda surprising... This morning picked up one stock with a decent discount, who knows it did't rebound much and I ended up selling it at purchase price as the selling momentum accelerates, free brokerage for my remisier.

Be truthful to yourself, going forward, the dividend will be around 4~5% based on the current price, no way near 10%. But it is still a good deal compared to bank FD

Once RM10 is broken, RM9.50 is the next support. Every support is a good buy for a company with strong and sustainable fundamentals, always look out for chances to collect it when it is cheap.

@SteadyT Shorties will just return EPF the same amount of shares regardless of price, plus the interest charged on SBL.

The purpose of lending to shorties is that EPF doesn't really want to sell the share, but instead of letting the shares sitting in their portfolio and earn nothing, they can lend it to shorties for some interest payment.

It will be quite interesting if EPF lends them shares to short but then buy the dip when everyone panic selling on the previous Monday, being able to buy cheaply while also earning interest from SBL.
