@ernest60 I am just a student doing research related to asset pricing and machine learning, trying to earn pocket money here

It is obvious that all sell queue at 8.90 and below were being bought immediately after they are being placed, most of the queues are invisible, those visible ones disappeared in split second. The sell queue is cleared exactly to none, only buy queue from other buyers at these prices are left.

Thanks to darurat speculation and panic, Bursa is on the list of top loser again...

So far 2000+ lots ranging from 8.90 to 8.87 were bought by this algorithmic trading buyer...

Update: It stopped at 3:25pm

Someone uses trading algorithm to sapu every sell queue at 8.90 and below since 3pm, interesting...

This is not the first time I observed the usage of trading algorithm in Bursa, hope some IB can allow some trading API to common folks like us

So many non-KLCI component stocks got pulled up and pushed down today, why? It is neither MSCI rebalancing day nor quarterly end rebalancing

Good consolidation today. Today traded 110.41 billion units worth RM5.8 billion, looks like Q4 will be quite good too. Btw, the last time when bursa have road blocks like today, the next day it shot up

@ernest60 yeah actually quite good considering the broad market and other countries are doing bad today, especially that it broke MA10, MA100 and fibonacci 0.618 retrenchment level. Good short term outlook ahead

Break 8.90 soon, close above 9 will be an excellent closing today

Momentum is in play now, as long as it is able to stay above MA100

Bursa received strong support from uptrend line (started on previous retrenchment in June), broke MA10 @ 8.41, broke downtrend line with higher volume and MACD continues to be bullish.

Immediate resistance:
(1) Fibonacci 0.618 retrenchment level @ 8.59
(2) MA100 @ 8.69
(3) Fibonacci 0.5 retrenchment level and previous retrenchments levels @ 9.05 - 9.14

@ernest60 you can search warrant calculator (for eg: Macquarie version or bursawave) in google, they can be helpful in calculating warrants’ theoretical price or real worth

Because this has happened quite some times in the past few weeks, I guess they wants to create some tiny panic while not pulling the price down too much, so trading can be more active

Hehehe, just be careful as they might get impatient near closing and throw a few bids down

I am just a potato giving out my two cents, technically speaking Bursa is at turning point now, MACD will have bullish crossover tomorrow assuming Bursa managed to stay flat or at worst drop slightly. Combined with downtrend breakout, support from MA10 and MA100, I would say the upside is bigger than the downside.

However, the movement of bursa tomorrow is determine by political stability, US stock market tonight, EPF and shark(s) that are trading this counter, so don't rely on my postings, Lol

Bursa closed above (yet very near) downtrend line and MA10, while slightly below fibonacci 0.618 retrenchment level (8.59). Seems like some profit taking took place today as well as retesting the resistance in later part of the trading session. Is this a false breakout or a consolidation? We will know very soon.

Last Friday, Bursa rebounded after briefly touched MA100, its MACD appears to have bullish crossover on tomorrow or the day after. Although it managed to have entire trading day above downtrend resistance 1, yet it faced huge pressure and couldn't close above MA10, fibonacci 0.618 resistance and downtrend resistance 2. With the settlement of Sabah's election and good US stocks performance on last Friday, market outlook for Monday shall be quite good.

If it breaks MA10, fibonacci 0.618 resistance and downtrend resistance 2 with increased volume, such technical breakout may confirms the reversal of downtrend.

8.60-8.61 is a critical level, it is the fibonacci 0.618 resistance level

If goes up to 8.57, downtrend resistance will be broken and it is a reversal signal

I wonder what EPF or whoever get out of pressing the share price everyday...

For those who always condemn share buyback, please be noted that even Apple did billions of USD worth of share buyback in recent years. In fact, most of the big company in the US did massive share buyback for past decades:

Looks like the quadruple witching day of the US have effect on Malaysia stock market. Many large cap stocks have high transacted volume at 4:50pm. This is probably why Bursa was being press down for these few days.
