Most data storage place store their core data in terms of magnetic tape, not HDD, not SSD, no matter how the technology advance, magnetic tape has its benefits on data storage, those who not understand how its work, will think it is obsolete.

Can see Oracle & Symantec have slow down around this point as well but with higher EPS forecast on the coming quarters.

WD results drop, partially may be due to HDD weak sales, or mainly because of the chips. Dufu also major in HDD, therefore expected sales will drop too. Investors / traders see this occurrence and might decided to dump shares to either lock profit or cut loss amid the uncertainty.

just like the glove company is malaysia, when you see harta report sales drop, most likely you will know that TG has sufferred the same fate.

However, this is just an indicator, and the fact that my prediction of it dropping to 1.8 area do realise as well. But dont link them as mother and son like when WD go up it should go up etc..

All the time I did not mention about WD share price, but about the HDD sentiments.
