Learn about warrant pricing. http://www.hoadley.net/options/optiongraphs.aspx?divs=Y.
Check in Bloomberg, volatility: 40%. Make risk free rate at 4%, dividend at 0.01 per year. Duration 5 years. Warrant price when mother price is RM1.00 is RM0.26. When mother is RM1, warrant price is 40 sen. Means, the time value is 40 sen. Intrinsic value starts to kick in when mother is above RM1.00.

Someone obviously never heard of time value, intrinsic value of warrant pricing.

Press down mother price now, accumulate as many PR as possible, then push up mother price, reap rewards from warrants when listed

Inari's sorrow ex eve was met with joy. Insas will likely follow suit :p

Iching, properties only 15% of total assets, most are liquid assets, which should narrow NAV discount significantly as compared to property counters.
2015-01-21 16:38 | Report Abuse
Insignifcant contribution from both. The main crux is Inari plus its few hundred million liquid assets. It's an asset play, not earnings play.

Ya. However, the way Insas was played last time, it went more than 20% up in a day twice, first time from 65 sen to 80 sen region. Another time 90 sen region to 1.20-1.30. And in those times, Inari was valued much lesser back then. I'm anticipating more action during this corporate exercise.

Doesn't matter. Just wait for another step-up of 20% per day....hopefully

No one will wanna convert the warrants if mother share is below RM1. No worries on dilution at all if mother share is below RM1. Just ride the up wave...hopefully

Someone is eyeing a stake in BJAuto. No point pushing up the price too much. Wait for investors to come in. Just speculation

Another firm we visited, an auto distributor, was looking forward to expanding from the distribution of automobiles to the assembly of imported Japanese autos. Management there is optimistic that the auto market in Malaysia was expanding and consumers were seeking more up-market brands and models.

That's why their growth will not be in percentages, but in multiples. Mazda cars are better than Nissan or Honda and should have market shares closer to them. Market share now is just a mere 2%, They should move higher than Nissan which has around 6% market share. Mazda market share of 7% as mentioned in TheEdge is just about right.

Good lah. Got opportunity to collect. Maybe BJCorp will sell again and let the price drop again to RM3.20 :p

Vincent Tan is just capitalizing on his gains from BJAuto, 5 times increase since IPO. That's all. The money earned from BJAuto can be used for BJCorp's working capital or expansion activities.

What's the fundamental reason for the drastic fall? If there's nothing concrete to back up our statements, we can talk till the cows come home, and the winner in the end is the one that makes money. I have all the fundamental reasons to believe the stock will trade higher. What's yours? Just because it rose 5 times since IPO?

No difference if cannot get distributorship. Their prices now are not reflecting Indonesia's potential, only pricing in the growth trajectory from Philippines and Malaysian operations.

If they get the distributorship, it's good news from Indonesia.

Buncho, probably they wanna convert all existing warrants before implementing? Just my guess...

Mazda will eat into the market share of other Japanese cars. Malaysia is always a lagger but catching up with overseas trend. This year alone saw its market share in Malaysia increased from 1.4% to 2.1%. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/04/25/mazda-record-profits-highest-94-years/

BJAuto has gone up too much and will continue to go up to the sky (Sorry, sounds like a fanboy). But can't help it. Look at Mazda cars nowadays. They win Toyota/Honda/Nissan hands down in terms of looks, sexiness, drivability (more continental feel compared to typical Japanese light/floating car feel), petrol saving Skyactive.
And their market share is???? A mere 2.1%!! The growth potential will not be in terms of percentage, it will be in terms of multiples. Even if it doubles, it's just slightly below Nissan's 5.9%. And Mazda cars are superior to Nissan cars, anytime. Thus, I will expect Mazda to close the gap to other Japanese makers i.e.Toyota/Honda/Nissan. Another wildcard is Indonesia. If it secures exclusive distributorship in Indonesia, it'll tap into a market with 8.4 times the population of Malaysia. Philippines? Sales growth is rocketing of course. I'm just thrilled at the potential growth that BJAuto is strategically positioned now, and the upcoming Mazda cars are just as stunning! So, I expect its share performance to be just as stunning. All the best guys!

Even if VT unloads again, it will be a long time after this. Since this overhang now is removed, its improving fundamentals will lift the price northwards.

Reason for selldown? Off-mkt transaction at RM3.20? If that's the reason, this price action is insane. Time to accumulate.

Any changes in fundamentals of the company? Any news that changes the outlook of the company? I don't know. Can be from all sorts of reasons.

Profit taking is just a general term. People wanna take profit after a rally. You have technical analysis and fundamental analysis. If technically it looks overbought, then it'll fall. How to know whether it's overbought? You can google all the teachings on technical analysis. Humongous resources available on the net. Whether it'll rebound short term, I don't know. But when fundamentally the company improves, if it drops for no fundamental reason, time to buy.

Part and parcel of trading stocks. You don't need reasons for its fall or rise. It's called Mr Market. Just a technical correction. We'll see it going to all-time high again.

Excerpts from Maybank report today:
"Management had previously guided that they had hedged their position at MYR3.09/JPY100 for purchases from May 2014 to Feb 2015. As a result of the weaker yen outlook, we now impute a lower average of (i) MYR3.07/JPY100 for purchases in FY4/15 and (ii) MYR2.95/JPY100 for purchases in FY16-17 (from MYR3.13/JPY100 previously). Correspondingly, our FY15/16/17 net profit is lifted by 11%/16%/17%."
Target is hiked to RM4.35.
