The dull property segment in 1H is set to be more vibrant in the 2H when the MRT to Kajang becomes operational by July 2017. The new KTM station being built in Kajang 2 township is expected to be completed about the same time. MKH is set to launch more infrastructure themed properties.

Already the TR Residence project (with GDV close to RM400 million) has garnered very good take up rate (more than 80%) since its soft launch in February 2017.

Will this result prompt Public Bank to sell MKH shares?

I am puzzled with this statement .. see the last row (".. with anticipation in the increase in CPO and palm kernel prices"). On what basis?

The Board of Directors expect the Group to achieve satisfactory results for the financial year
ending 30 September 2017 arising from the profit recognition of the ongoing projects that
have been launched and sales locked-in in the previous financial years by the property and
construction division and the profit contribution (excluding unrealised foreign exchange
gains/losses) from the plantation as more palms are entering into maturity stage with higher
yield couple with the anticipation in the increase in CPO and palm kernel prices.

It is difficult to match last year's same quarter profit of 13 sen per share. But would be happy if 1H this year profit can exceed 20 sen per share. Last year's figure has included 27 mil gain on foreign exchange.

他说，今年集团准备推出约15亿令吉发展计划，根据以往记录，认购率料达80%。
“从这个趋势来看，取得12亿令吉的销售额并非遥不可及。”
此外，李典和也说，市场需求一直都在，关键在于房产的地点和负担能力。
巴生谷买家逾60%
“金群利集团向来都提供可负担房屋，所以并无面对需求短缺。”
他举例，公司在2013年上市时，约有30%买家来自巴生谷，而在2010年则是少于10%。
不过，他们相信巴生谷市场将会放缓，因为房价太高，因此，该集团会尝试抓紧市场。“今年和去年，来自巴生谷的买家超过50%至60%，所以对于有地房产市场很有信心，我们知道这是在可负担价位范围内。”
首发2.5亿回债
今天，金群利集团与马银行投行签署协议，发行2.5亿令吉回教商业票据，并安排在6月发出首批回债。
集团主席拿督莫哈末哈斯拉指，发行回债所筹得的资金，将用于融资未来投资、营运资本要求及资本开销，如扩大地库规模。
伺机并购
“这是集团自2013年上市以来，首次进入债市，肯定会为我们带来足够的资金，扶持业务增长计划和策略。”
他补充，这也将成为金群利集团的备用资金，一旦看到收购产业的机会，就可利用资金攫取商机。
同时，他说无论市场发生什么事，该笔资金将可维持集团的稳定。

Guess your corporate guys are not creative enough to raise funds. But what is the stumbling block? You have so much to leverage on ... the land, the supportive and major shareholder i.e. Public Bank. Come on.

If not the way Matrix Concepts returning profits to shareholders on a quarterly basis, MKH should seriously consider declaring half yearly interim dividends. The main reason being MKH is not as savvy as Matrix Concepts in term of the funding management. So we shareholders may be better than you.

MKH to work harder! Market value of Matrix Concept has now exceeded 1.6 billion ... way ahead of MKH. Sad MKH!

MKH should emulate Matrix Concepts in raising funds ... by not calling any more rights issue.
Kudos to Matrix Concepts which its share price has rallied 15% so far.

kenken ... the plantation is worth around 1 billion now minus borrowing. So if one buys MKH now one is buying plantation assets and gets the property assets for FREE.

If long awaited limit up IWK can happen and has happened last Friday, which everyone is betting its land value will go higher over time, the same could happen to MKH when MKH undertakes restructuring to unlock its asset value.

Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia will produce about 900,000 metric ton of biodiesel in 2017, up about 80 percent from half a million metric ton last year, while Indonesian output will rise to 3.5 million metric tons this year from 3 million metric tons in 2016, an industry expert said on Tuesday (07/03).

"These are the forecasts based on the current pricing of crude palm oil and oil prices," said U.R. Unnithan, president of the Malaysian Biodiesel Association on the sidelines of a palm oil industry conference in Kuala Lumpur.

Benchmark palm oil prices are up nearly 3 percent so far this month after sliding 8.5 percent on expectations of rising output and weakening demand in February.

Palm oil is down 1.5 percent at 2,851 ringgit ($640.94) per metric ton on Tuesday evening.

Palm oil can be used to produce the bio components of biodiesel grades sold at retail fuel pumps. Low crude oil prices, though — benchmark crudes are still around half of what they were in mid-2014 — are expected to make it tougher for biodiesel to compete against petroleum diesel.
