Investors should be careful with this company. The said MACC case with Dato Doh Jee Ming is related to the malay reserve land in the district of Manjung, Perak. Which is also where one of its big project is currently being developed, Bandar Baru Setia Awan Perdana. For sure now that the authorities there would scrutinise any project related to Dato Doh more strictly. I assume this would be the same for projects in Kedah and Johor as well.
Sime Darby jv in Kedah would also be in the spotlight. Not sure if Sime Darby would want to proceed with a partner that is currently being investigated by MACC.
Safer to wait for all the issues to be clear by the MACC.

Sounds perfect...buy only when all the dust settled...
But what will be the price then? Still Rm1.19? Or back to RM1.70+(b4 the MACC saga), or even higher?
At present price of RM1.19, it has dropped abt 30% from 1.70+ thanks to the MACC.
That's the mkt response on this matter (though it once dropped 50% to Rm0.85+).
What's next?
The worst scenario= It turns to be Serbak 2.0? Or YNH 2.0?? Co go to Holland..suspended n delisted in near future?Boss n his father masuk lokap n entitles to life long free curry rice staying next to Bossku in Sungai Buluh?
Best scenario: Boh tai chi maybe fine some money biz as usual prices go back to Rm1.70+ or even higher
Certainly there is some uncertainty, until n unless this saga is being settled.
For now, those more conservative wanna play safe one Lagenda is not your cup of tea. U can safely put yr money in Maybank enjoying 6% annual return buta-buta....Or if u wanna feel safer can also keep yr money under yr pillow...can smell yr money 24 hours a day
In short yr money yr call. Understand the risk vs reward.

What's their net profit margin like?
From Yinson's past years' records it seems their net profit margin is like 10%+/-...
I would say not really that convincing, in view of the heavy investment involved and the high risk
Oil palm plantation is much much better.....relatively high profit margin , consistent positive cashflow n div records....n potential land appreciation over the years
So SSLee, why are u in Yinson????

Yinson issued a sukuk of RM 640 million in Malaysia before Chinese New Year 2024, the coupon rate is 7.95%.
The take up rate of this sukuk is so demanding, all RM 640 million sukuk was taken up within 20 minutes.

Anyone here is not so knowledgeable as institutional fund manager, they just buy up all sukuk of Yinson within 20 minutes.
This sukuk is rated as A3/Stable (RAM).
I will stop my comment on Yinson, no point to cause more pain to all poor investors here
So only those knowledgeable one (like Fund Managers n Sifu etc) can have the access to all these good deals....
All other stupxd poor investors here (I guess I m one of them as I dont have the chance to subscribe such a good high yield bonds) can only feel very heart pain loh.....

I invest is to make money.
I believe the share price is low enough. I can afford to lose on this investment.
