I called the registrar today and they said the listing day for the free warrants is within 8 market days from the date of entitlement, which is 27 March 2018. Still in time for the announcement of the completion of the North Sabah oil fields acquisition..

One respected sifu set a TP of RM17.50 and once reached he sold ALL already yesterday (28/12/2017) before 12.30 pm. Probably another sifu disagreed and come out with this blog http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/koonyewyinblog/142628.jsp during the afternoon trading session yesterday (28/12/2017). And so happen today (29/12/2017), it crashed during the second session. So 'chun' the first sifu.

Just wait until 10 January 2018, then you will know that ECON after ex-price will be very much lower than RM1.26. Before ex-date, of course, traders will keep the price stable but after the ex-date, no more incentive to hold the mother share (including its bonus issues) and thus, its price will keep on going down. Remember now each sen drop will have bigger impact compared to its cum price because the number or shares is now 5/2 times more.

Where got lost woh! I bought at cum price RM3.07 and today I sold all at RM1.23. At this moment, no gain, no loss. But my coming free warrants will help me to earn a lot of net profit.

@Explorer2: There are two reasons why I sold the mother shares held and bonus issues right on the first day:
(1) If we were to look at VIS after all ex-date trading, the mother share kept on going down while waiting for the listing of its free warrants,
(2) I want to raise cash to trade in the coming free warrants as it will be very active and volatile in the first 4 days of its listing (can be seen in VIS-WB). I believe ECON-WA will hit limit up of RM0.305 on the first day of trading. If I am lucky enough, I could buy some at RM0.305 even though the chance is quite low. I can't predict the second day whether or not it will hit the second limit-up at RM0.605.

Sold all my shares held by keying in myself. My bonus shares also all sold through my remisier. Now waiting for my free warrants. Should be around 10 January 2017. An announcement will be made before that.

Waiting for RM15.50 (my TP). Once reach, I will sell all. Anyway, only 5,000 shares. No impact at all.

@ zoomsbooms: Our remisier (Hong Leong Investment Bank) can do that but we can't do it using our own HLEBROKING system. I will sell all my shares held first by keying in myself. After that, I will call my remisier to sell the expected number of bonus shares. Their computer system can sell even though the shares are not available yet. But after T + 3, it will balance by itself.

@ zoomsbooms: RM1.25 is the exercise price of the free warrants. Even though it is free but actually it has to be taken into consideration when calculating the adjusted all ex-price.

If we were to refer to VIS trading after ex-date, it is better for us to sell all our mother shares held and bonus shares through our remisier right on the starting of next Tuesday trading while waiting for our free warrants. I believe the free warrants will hit limit up on the first trading day.

Assuming an investor has 2 ECONBHD shares. After the split, he/she has 4 ECONBHD shares and with this 4 splitted shares, he/she is entitled for 1 bonus share and 1 free warrant.
Hence, the all ex-price = (2 X 3.17 + 1 X 1.25)/(4 + 1 + 1) = RM1.265 (rounded off to RM1.27).
And the ECONBHD-WA temporary price = RM1.27 - RM1.25 = RM0.02.

I have yet to buy any ECONBHD shares because of my bitter experience from the corporate exercise of SUNWAY, as follows:

i. Proposed bonus issue of up to 2,804,471,128 new ordinary shares in Sunway (“Sunway Shares” or “Shares”) (“Bonus Shares”) on the basis of four (4) Bonus Shares for every three (3) existing Sunway Shares held on an entitlement date to be determined later (“Entitlement Date”) (“Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares”); and

ii. Proposed bonus issue of up to 631,006,003 free warrants in Sunway (“Warrants”) on the basis of three (3) Warrants for every ten (10) existing Sunway Shares held on the same Entitlement Date as the Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares (“Proposed Bonus Issue of Warrants”).

Its cum price was RM4.38 on 26/9/17 and its all-ex price was RM1.87 on 27/9/2017. Its SUNWAY-WB price hit limit-up on the first day at RM0.305, hit the second limit up on the second day at RM0.605, blocked by Bursa Securities at RM0.605 on the third day and went to a high of of RM0.735 on the fourth day (11/10/2017) with high volume.

But what happens to SUNWAY and SUNWAY-WB prices today (14/12/2017)? They are only RM1.60 and RM0.53 respectively.

Assuming an investor holds 60,000 shares of SUNWAY at cum price RM4.38 (with a cost of RM262,800). He/She is entitled for an additional 80,000 bonus shares making the total mother shares to be 140,000 and 18,000 free SUNWAY-WB shares. What is the total value today (14/12/2017)? It is = (140,000 X RM1.60) + (18,000 X RM0.53) = RM233,540.

As of today, it is a huge lost of RM262,800 - RM233,540 = RM29,260 (lost).

For me, I can vividly remember I sold everything on 10/10/2017 (when Bursa Securities blocked SUNWAY-WB price at RM0.605 - because a share is not allowed to hit limit up on three consecutive days) with just a very minor profit of RM723.50.

I would like to share how to calculate the all ex-price of ECONBHD taking today's closing price of RM3.08 and the exercise price of the warrant at RM1.25.

Assuming an investor has 2 ECONBHD shares. After the split, he/she has 4 ECONBHD shares and with this 4 splitted shares, he/she is entitled for 1 bonus share and 1 free warrant.
Hence, the all ex-price = (2 X 3.08 + 1 X 1.25)/(4 + 1 + 1) = RM1.235 (rounded to RM1.24).
And the ECONBHD-WA starting price = RM1.24 - RM1.25 = -RM0.01.

My heart was filled with relief when the US Senate Budget Committee passed the Republican tax plain with a slim majority of 12 to 11 and Dow Jones rocketed up 256 points to set a new record close. But when I switched on my TV (Astro) to watch CNN news, I saw a breaking news at the bottom on the TV screen and my heart sank to see the news that North Korea had just fired another ballistic missile which landed in the Japan Sea west of Japan. I have sold all my converted shares from WC already. Now can forget about converting WC already because WC is at 2.5% premium already (that means no more discount).

Moreover, next month, Focus Dynamics will start the process of cash call already by issuing RCPS 6 for 6 with 1 free warrant-D. Cash calls are usually not welcome by traders.
