Basically the gov says if you process X amount of cooking oil, you must sell X% of cooking oil to any buyer for the Malaysian market for X price (Below or at cost price).

Tesco can come and says they want X amount of cooking oil for their own Tesco brand and the factory must sell at cost price.

This is why most of our cooking oil in Malaysia, especially the palm oil cooking oil is darker in colour, and there is a health reason for it.

The gov never says you must sell certain quality to the Malaysian market, just the amount, thus the lowest quality is always reserve for the Malaysian market since the producer are 'forced' to sell at a loss or at cost.

I think you can opt-out, but your share gets diluted. And if too many refuses to buy the RI, then the RI is a failure.

Some say wait for them to issue RI and when the stock price drop only buy... but sometimes stock price might go up if most investors see the RI as a good move. dont know lah. What if they push the price to RM7 and then announce the RI? then maybe drop 10%, so it becomes RM6.30. Then you regret not buying now.

Going back to september 2020, before the 'good' qr was release, the stock price has been trending down and after the QR was released, it goes down even faster. About 1 week later, it went crashing, one of the bid yinson won was re-tendered, i think it is the brazillian fpso.

this shows insider knew what was going on and was selling before the good qr and even more after the good qr.

why are they not buying (or holding the price at rm5) after this even better qr? I am not an insider, but I know they are going to win the brazil fpso again, since they are the only bidder, and 2 more. It is so obvious the price is kind of 'pegged' at rm5... I dont know why. It is very hard to time the market. Long term, just buy and hold.

Right issue is definitely around the corner, everybody knows this. They need about RM1b for the FPSO, so 1:5 rights issue? have to maintain the price at RM5?

Yes, their debt is low, as low reasonably low. They still have access to loan and bonds. I believe with the good respond from CU, which can be seen by anyone, no bankers will say CU is a high risk. Whether they do a good execution is another story. Long term is a good bet, short term with covid you'll have to weather the storm.

The right question to ask is why the stock price never went up when the QR is so good? And if you noticed, before the QR in september 2020 was release, the stock price was dropping, but after releasing the good QR, it continues to drop and then collapse, why?

Long term it will go up, no doubt about it.

Short term, why are they holding it at RM5?

The rely solely on 1 income from that hydro? I thought that hydro in laos was recently completed and they have many other projects. Unless you are saying that hydro in laos contributes a significant chunk or 50% of their profit then what you said make perfect sense.

From what I read, the hydro contribution is EPS of 52.6 sen.
