Events after events unfolded bringing down the price.
Hope it is an auspicious trend moving forward and we might just see RM10++ lol

I'm not sure, it is hard to correlate back the transactions, because the announcement is few market days late.
What I can decipher is only the generic trend.

That's should be main reason dragging PBB to go higher.
What we do not know is for how many more share and how desperate is the selling.

One bad news coming up should be Q4 result.
Could be worse than Q3 if overseas gain cannot patch up.
However, won't have big impact if other news flows as predicted

You can't compare two stocks just by the share price la. Need to base on market capitalization mah, whereby pbb is still higher than hlb

Haha samo50sg, come on man, gambling gotta command way higher margin than other non-gambling! Although I don't have the exact figures, its easy to know why. There's little marginal cost associated, a push of a button or a flick of the dice and they earn! Yes there's maintenance on the machine and the staffing and facility, but those are more a fixed cost imo. Casinos command a very high margin.

I have a feeling US and UK would be skewed more towards gaming, while SG and MY will be the other way around.

@samo50sg, you need to dig the annual report la, copy excerpt:

Total revenue from the Leisure & Hospitality Division of RM5,515.4million for the nine months ended 30September2020 comprised gaming revenue and non-gaming revenue of RM4,094.1 million and RM1,421.3million respectively.


So based on this FY 3Qs, gaming is about maybe 75% of revenue, while non gaming about 25%.
This is for Genting group, include US, UK and SG

Big portion of profit actually does come from gambling
Even though that has been on a decreasing trend since years ago due to diversification, it still remains top contributor. Perhaps it differs from outlet to outlet, but it should still remain a fact.

Its nice to play some contra off a company with solid fundamentals, like a safety net.
