Its not abnormal for the price to be where it is now.
Vaccine is delayed.
Local covid was increasing past couple of weeks.

If you compare with banking stocks ala MBB/PBB in April, the price of Genting is still relatively okay.

If you can understand Chinese, go dig videos on how China tackled the covid situation.
Its very touching and at times inhumane how they dealt with it.
End result was good, they now have zero case (or almost zero if you doubt their numbers)

To be fair, there's still some downsides.
We don't expect full MCO to swing in, which could happen if the situation gets much worse.
There's also the talk of tighter MCO than current to be imposed.

The bigger catalyst is still the old story - vaccine.

Its like comparing apple with durian

Treatment is only to cure those infected.
You may need to treat and retreat same person multiple times over if no vaccine is available.
If indeed today's uptick is due to Remdesivir, it shows a cure will not move this stock much.

That said, having a cure is better than no cure.
The bigger ramification is it will remind everyone about vaccine introduction, be it this year or next.

Not really @Sharefisher, treatment is only after effect.
Curbing the spread is at least equally, if not more important.
