SEA nations welcome AUKUS are useless.

laos is a bit like a thailand satellite state, while cambodia is like a vietnam satellite

they both gonna be quite strongly influenced by the response & position of their respective brother-neighbour states, even if not following them 100%

if aukus had been set up well earlier, like a decade or so ago, then china would certainly not have dared to so blatantly grab territory on land & in sea in scs

this is what balance of power is all about

unfortunately, aukus have come kind of a bit late for us in SEA

but still, better late than never at all

but also, good for SEA states to have aukus as a balancing counterweight for western pacific region, in defence & security aspect

for SEA states, still good & productive to cooperate & collaborate with china in economic terms, as long as the benefits are mutual

SEA states welcoming aukus does not mean SEA states dumping china as economic partner
